Abstract :
This paper reports on the development of an integrated model of a PV system that is connected to a 7-bus distribution network. The system modeled in this work consists of five major sub-systems they are: PV generator model, Charger Unit, Battery, Inverter and the distribution system. The mathematical model is used for steady-state simulations to evaluate the effectiveness of battery-integrated PV system on avoiding over voltage problems. Furthermore, fault analysis is done to study the effect of the PV model on the utility network during symmetrical and asymmetrical faults.
