Abstract :
Owing to the aging population trends and the needs of the chronically ill, the auxiliary telemedicine system (ATS) has been regarded as an important industry in the future. The study has been integrated a lot of features in the system. For example, integrate measurement equipment and information system, so that patients living in the home can have more complete care. If the patient needs to see an online consultation, the doctor can make use of audio and video chat online diagnosis. Doctors can discuss and judge according to the information records in the storage system. In the ATS, audio and video quality is very important for the video calls for communication. Therefore, this study makes three experiments for wireless audio and video communication quality of service (QoS), respectively. The three experiments were used NS2 simulation software. The finally experimental results shows that the network quality of service is subject to a variety of factors include GOP (Group of Picture) pattern, compressed quantitative parameters (quantization value), length of the packet (packet size) and packet error rate (packet error rate).
