Abstract :
The paper discusses transmit diversity algorithms in general and closed loop transmit diversity in particular. A joint transmit receive optimisation scheme has been proposed to set optimal performance limits and identify potential gains. The solution considers multiple antennas at the terminal. Basic understanding of the joint optimisation developed in the first part of the paper has been used to build up a new inter-cell interference suppression scheme. Theoretical results have been tested through simulations to confirm their validity.
