Abstract :
To deliver hyperthermia to the breast, a minimally invasive monopole phased-array system for adaptively-focused 915-MHz microwave hyperthermia treatment was designed and tested in phantoms. The performance of the phased array was simulated by computer using the geometry of compressed breast tissue. Results of adaptive focusing measurements in phantoms is described
