Abstract
Metaphor is an important concept in human interface for the realization of harmony between human and computer systems. By use of metaphors, it becomes easier for human to understand and to operate the computer. The application of metaphors to virtual environment systems is suggested in the study. The composite effects of metaphors help the human vision and are also effective in direct manipulation
