Abstract :
For some fluoropolymer films, such as Teflon FEP etc., their charge stability can be remarkably improved by the application of heat during corona charging, but polyethylene (PE) is an exception. In this paper, the behavior of corona charged PE film at elevated temperatures was studied. Using the phenomenological model derived by R.L. Remke et al. (1983), the attempt-to-escape frequencies and detrapping time constant at RT were estimated for PE, Teflon PTFE, FEP and PFA. By means of the comparison, the performance of the charge storage for PE sample was evaluated
