Abstract :
MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC) is well known for direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation techniques due to its super-resolution property. However, it often fails to find DOA in severe environments like low SNR of incident waves form closely-spaced angles. To resolve this problem, we propose a new DOA estimation algorithm by the first-order differential of pseudo-spectrum from the fact that the differential of the spectrum has each local max-min values around the original DOAs. The simulation results show that reliability of the proposed algorithm in detecting DOA is better than that of the previous algorithms.
