Abstract :
The beam intensity of the KEK PS-Booster synchrotron cleared the level of 2×1012 ppp. To realize this intensity, much work has been done not only to recover missed Booster ring acceptance and to make the Booster RF power supply resistant against a heavy beam loading, but also to tune synthetically the entire system from the ion source to the 12-GeV synchrotron. The present status of the KEK PS-Booster synchrotron is described, and recovery of missed acceptance, improvements to the RF power supply, the power level readjustment of two linac tanks, and overall tuning from the ion source to the main ring are discussed in detail
