Abstract
We consider the downlink of a multi-cell system where multiple base stations collaborate to transmit data to single antenna receivers. This cooperative scheme requires full channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter. In this paper, the performance of the robust power control algorithm proposed in [1] is analyzed for the case of hybrid channel state information [2], and compared to a non-robust algorithm, when a different number of transmitting base stations is considered. Simulations results show that the multiple base station transmission benefits from the additional robustness given by the macrodiversity.
