Abstract :
One of the main issues with respect to designing indoor mobile communication systems is to mitigate interference between indoor cells. In this paper, we propose a network concept called Virtual Cellular Network, which manages radio resource by merging multiple cells into one virtual cell. By the control of a Center Unit (CU), Radio Access Units (RAUs) perform cooperative transmission with other corresponding RAUs and indoor users in the virtual cell don´t suffer from interference of the RAUs. We construct a simulator for verifying the performance gain of our concept in practical environments. Our simulator is optimized for cooperative transmissions with various network and channel models. Simulation results show that the proposed network concept manages interference between cells effectively and improves performance of indoor wireless network.
