Abstract
This paper presents an appropriate design scheme for a high-efficiency high-power-factor AC/DC flyback converter with low output voltage. For this purpose the voltage and current stresses as well as the power losses on the switches are going to be analytically calculated. The whole theoretical analysis concludes to a design criterion concerning the selection of the transformer turns ratio, so as to minimize the semiconductor losses. Finally, simulation and experimental results are presented, validating the theoretical analysis and the proposed design scheme
