Abstract
The absolute measurement of the mass, as well as the determination of the Planck constant, has become one of the most important issues in metrology toward a new kilogram definition based on fundamental constant. A method for measuring the inertial mass, being different from the gravitational mass measurement by either a watt balance or the Avogadro project has been carried out recently at National Institute of Metrology (NIM). In this summary, the inertial mass measurement project is introduced.
