Abstract :
The SPEED routing protocol was proposed to minimizing the packet deadline miss ratio in wireless sensor networks. To achieve this goal, velocity calculation is used to determine the forwarding node. However, due to general traffic model, it lacks of adaptability so we extend the SPEED protocol to support (m, k)-firm streams in wireless sensor networks. Simulations and their analysis are followed to validate the suitability of reduced end-to-end delay and enhanced reliability.
