Abstract
This paper deals with the operation of a switched reluctance generator (SRG) for wind turbine applications. The machine flux characteristics are deduced from the finite element method and approximated by a Krigeage interpolation method. The nonlinear model is used to analyze the characteristics of the SRG in self-excitation mode. To minimize torque ripple a novel asymmetrical torque sharing function (TSF) is presented and compared to a trapezoidal one
