Abstract :
This paper explores a low-complexity decision feedback equalization/decoding scheme, which uses filter bank frequency-domain equalizer and noise prediction in feedforward and feedback filter, respectively. Its performance is evaluated with extended Vehicular A channel model of ITU-R in LDPC coded single-carrier modulation. Simulation results show that the equalization/decoding scheme with symbol-wise block interleaver can achieve a considerable performance improvement over linear equalizer. Moreover, its performance comparison to widely-used turbo equalizer approach is also included, showing minor performance degradation with considerably reduced complexity.
