  • Abstract
    Heat flux maps were constructed for four models of radiant electric heaters. The maps show the position and amplitude of maximum heat flux for each model. Asymmetric emission, multiple local maxima, and high magnitudes, relative to the critical heat flux of fire indicators were seen. Potential techniques to reduce the maximum flux at any position without decreasing power output are discussed.
