Abstract
Based on a simplified field analysis, expressions are derived to calculate the set of frequency-dependent impedances of a planar magnetic component. This model is derived from the layout, the dimensions and the magnetic materials properties. It provides the foundation for a flexible approach to design and optimize integrated passive components. Data issued from an integrated magnetic component are used to illustrate the accuracy and the limitations of such a method
