Message from the Organizers

Welcome to the IEEE??NAAC sponsored International Workshop on Institutional and Programme Accreditation: Connections and Opportunities. This workshop was held on 21??22 January 2011 in Bangalore, India. The workshop attracted some 70 attendees, predominately from India, who have an interest in starting a program??specific system of accreditation. There are eight plenary sessions and 15 papers invited for inclusion in this proceeding. The sessions addressed various components of accreditation including: current trends, practices, program evaluator training process????relevant documents, in??person training sessions, on??line training, and other methods of educating (and occasionally refreshing, if needed) volunteers who conduct campus visits and make accreditation recommendations.
