Abstract :
A novel piecewise-scales transform method is proposed to reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of an oversampled OFDM signals. In this scheme, the signals are firstly divided into two groups according to their statistic property, and then transformed with different scales. As a result, the significant reduction in PAPR can be achieved without performance penalty. The theoretical analysis and the computer simulation show that the probability of the transmitted signals´ PAPR exceeding 5.5 dB is less than 10-6 with the proposed method.
