Design of Presence Based Dynamic Group IM in IMS

This paper presents a mechanism to manage a dynamic group in an automatic way for sending Group IM (instant message) based on presence service in IMS system. Presence technology is gaining significant interest nowadays. It can show the user´s presence information in real time. Presence based services are driving new business opportunities and changing every aspect of our daily life, especially in mobile communication. In this paper, presence service is used as an input for managing a dynamic group which acts differently depending on the presence information of the users in mobile communication environment. We use the location data of the presence information as a simple application. The user´s location data of presence information can be changed by inductor automatically. Besides, the group state is altered by the presence information, so the dynamic group can run automatically.
