Abstract :
The purpose of the described system is to assist an organization in performing the environmental assessment portion of the strategic planning process. This portion of strategic planning aims at identifying the environmental threats and opportunities. STRATMAN/EnScan is an aid to assist the chief executive officer (CEO) and the human resource manager in relating employee´s environmental awareness to their jobs and in designing management development programs, which will enhance employee environmental awareness and consequently organizational adaptability. The entire strategy-setting process consists of management´s attempt to maximize the quality of a decision, or alternatively to minimize the difference between intended/desired outcomes and actual outcomes. The quality of a decision is determined by the degree of congruence between intended and actual results
