Abstract
Small geometrical imperfections to the ideal cross section of index-guiding photonic crystal fibers (PCFs) are introduced in order to investigate their impact on the chromatic dispersion properties. Moreover, to validate our numerical analysis, the impact of real photonic crystal fiber´s profile perturbations on chromatic dispersion is pointed out. This study is performed along 60 m fiber length. The analysis has been performed using the finite element method which assures high solution accuracy.
