Abstract
This paper introduces (1) the paradigm of global space integration from its tactile "snapshots", (2) different metrics for its experimental evaluation and (3) the experimental results of this paradigm using tactile representations generated via a touch stimulating interface (a Braille surface). The collected results involving healthy blindfolded subjects show that 60% of the subjects can successfully integrate the global space from tactile representations and can recognize the geometry of the investigated space.
