Abstract :
This paper presents different approaches for acceleration of the spectral domain analysis of large conformal antennas and arrays. The basic idea is to find suitable simplification of the original problem that can be efficiently analyzed using alternative method like Uniform Theory of Diffraction (UTD). Then by applying the asymptotic extraction technique to the spectral domain analysis method we can overcome the problems that are encountered when spectral domain method is applied to structures with dimensions large in terms of wavelength. The technique was demonstrated on several test cases showing promising results.
