Abstract :
The necessary steps towards a redefinition of the kilogram according to CCM Recommendation G1 (2013) are described. The redefinition may occur by 2018. The CCM roadmap contains in particular the timing for extraordinary calibrations using the IPK, a pilot study, drafting of the new mise en pratique and the publication of supporting work in a special edition of Metrologia.
