Abstract :
We propose the delay-guaranteed mechanism for providing real-time service in integrated architecture of EPON and WiMAX. For guaranteeing delay, when the value of delay related to the received real-time service exceeds the recommended value, the SS accesses adjacent different ONU-BS and receives real-time service via multi-path using both network interfaces. By using proposed mechanism, real-time service can be guaranteed and the bottleneck phenomenon incurred due to the difference of transmission speed between wired and wireless network can be alleviated.
