Abstract :
Telematics for Electric Vehicles needs vehicle information data through an in-vehicle interface access such as battery state of charge, maximum charging power, vehicle speed etc. A vehicle interface technology for in-vehicle interface access connects vehicle technology with the ITS/Telematics technology. In this paper, we suggest an architecture of the vehicle mobile gateway (VMG), vehicle data exchange protocol, and the Open Diagnostics eXchange format (ODX) converter which is a key factor to access vehicle data need to the driver of their vehicle´s status like fuel-efficiency, diagnostics, safety, etc. The VMG and vehicle data exchange protocol provides a single solution in-vehicle interface access method via standardized XML-based vehicle data exchange services.
