Abstract :
We present a novel mobile Ad Hoc networks routing protocol called state-aware routing protocol, in which more QoS metrics are taken into account during the route discovery, to decrease the end-to-end delay and transmission cost. When the source initiates a RREQ message, the forwarded nodes require considering the information of energy, mobility and congestion state, hence the destination would determine a state-aware path with the lower entire energy consumption for the session. The evaluation indicates that the proposed protocol incurs some modification in terms of packet delivery ratio and end-to-end delay compared with the minimum-hop based routing scheme.
