Abstract :
We present an algorithm for the design of large slotted waveguide arrays, that is based on optimization acting on the full-wave analysis of the array. Not only the method is extremely accurate, accounting for all the physical effects, such as mutual coupling, higher order mode interaction, slot roundness and thickness, but also the resulting code is so efficient as to make it a practicable alternative to classical solutions, based on the equivalent circuit of the slot.
