Abstract
An atomic streak camera has been constructed with a spectral range from 3-300 THz and a 2 ps time resolution. Gas-phase Rydberg atoms are used as an infrared sensitive photocathode. Prompt electron emission from the autoionizing Rydberg atoms is obtained when red Stark states are selected
