Abstract
In order to make full use of the mobility information of Ad hoc network nodes in the process of route discovery and route maintenance, a revised AODV protocol based on the relative mobility of nodes (AODV-RM) is devised. The methods of defining the relative mobility of nodes and the reliability of routes are provided. It is showed by simulations that more reliable route can be discovered and the ratio of routes breakage is decreased after introducing relative mobility parameters in AODV-RM. Also, a smaller end-to-end delay and higher packet delivery ratio compared to AODV can be obtained.
