Abstract
The need for an effective management of knowledge is gaining increasing recognition in today´s economy. To acknowledge this fact, new promising and powerful technologies have emerged from industrial and academic research. With these innovations maturing, organizations are more and more willing to adapt such new knowledge management (KM) technologies to improve their knowledge intensive businesses. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to address this challenge and introduce a framework for the development of enterprise knowledge management systems that will support both the business process and the technological knowledge infrastructure. We also discuss in this paper, the role of aspects and distributed middleware framework in enterprise knowledge management systems development.
