Abstract
The model of the RealNeuron is compared with that of perceptrons and spiking neurons. It is shown that special instances of the RealNeuron can implement perceptrons and spiking neurons. Also, a theoretical evaluation of the RealNeuron performance, in the presence of noise, is presented. The performance is dependant on the the refractory function´s output value of the sensor neurons in the network. The range for the the refractory function is presented for a sensor neuron to function correctly in a noisy environment. The range is dependant on the pump parameters in the main membrane of the sensor neurons.
