Abstract
A theoretical analysis of the precision of a quasioptical null-balanced reflectometer is presented, taking into account quantisation effects, detector noise and source power. A de-embedding technique suitable for micro-machined waveguides is suggested. The resulting error in determining attenuation coefficient and guide wavelength is analysed
