Abstract :
Among nonlinear mathematical optimization methods, those of geometric programming are highly prized for their engineering design oriented insights. Cost coefficients, related by the geometric inequality, can be regarded as chance variables. The optimality condition may suggest a lognormal probability distribution for the total design cost
