Abstract :
This paper describes an inductance measurement through capacitance measurement using precision capacitance bridge. The high value simulated inductors from 100 H to100 kH were developed using RC or T network. This T network comprises two highly stable thin film resistors and a good quality capacitor, the values of resistors and capacitor judiciously chosen to get a desired inductance value. These inductors were measured in terms of capacitance using Andeen-Hagerling AH 2700 A ultra precision Capacitance Bridge (AH 2700 A). This paper reports the measurements of these inductors using AH2700A at a frequency of 1 kHz. It has been observed that the inductance values determined through measurement in terms of capacitance are within 0.05 % of the computed value at 1 kHz.
