  • Abstract
    Statistical properties of Internet traffic are complex and we apply Bernoulli shift map to generate packet traffic. The packet producing time is dependent on evaluation of Bernoulli shift map, which is a different mechanism from ON/OFF mechanism, called Time Bernoulli Shift (TBS). Packet traffic from TBS has a convergent average rate after enough iteration, inherent self similarity characteristic and chaotic characteristic which can be adjusted by parameters of Bernoulli shift map.
