Abstract
This paper a noise-canceling low-noise Amplifier (LNA) intended for WiMAX applications has been designed using 0.18 micrometer CMOS technology. Wide-band input and output impedance matching, low Noise-Figure (NF), reasonable voltage gain and low power consumption are the main challenges of Low Noise Amplifier design. In this design frequency band as well as a lower chip area and noise cancellation technique in common-gate topology has been used for lowering the Noise Figure of the LNA. The amplifier is implemented in 0.18-μm CMOS technology, and gain of 21dB-25dB and a noise figure 2.6-3dB and S11<;-7, S22<;-12 and 1.8V power supply.
