Abstract :
In this paper a new Bridgeless PFC converter is introduced. To reduce number of circuit components, the input rectifier is combined with a SEPIC converter. Therefore the proposed converter has lower conduction losses than conventional SEPIC PFC converter. Also this converter can produce output voltages lower than the input voltage which is preferred in off line low voltage power supplies. In this paper, the proposed converter is designed for DCM operation to simplify the control circuit and eliminate the current loop. Theoretical analysis and simulation results of the proposed converter are provided to explain circuit operation. The measured efficiency shows %1 improvement in comparison to conventional SEPIC rectifier.
