Abstract :
Based on a thorough investigation of the vessel traffic accidents in coastal waters in Fujian, China during last 7 years and other effective ways for getting the information about the dangers of the vessel traffic, the vessel traffic risks in various navigating areas of coastal waters are presented. Through the analysis of the practical traffic situation and assessment of the vessel traffic risks, the detailed proposals and systematic measures for the avoidance and control of these risks have been putted out. In the paper, some detailed information, methods and ideas about the vessel traffic risk control in coastal waters have been introduced and discussed.
