Abstract :
In this paper we present an acceleration procedure for an application of a robust nonparametric signal modelling technique for tracking time-varying phasors of voltage and current in power systems. A first degree polynomial is used to approximate these voltage and current signals locally on a sliding window of fixed length. The least-squares criterion and non-quadratic criteria (quadratic-squares-root, quadratic- tangent and quadratic-constant) was used to fit the linear function to the data, and methods to speed up the procedures was introduced. The paper concludes with the presentation of the representative testing results.
