Abstract :
This paper presents the results from a preliminary study conducted with elementary school-aged children and the software design process as it relates to educational software. The aspect of the study examines the effect of the design and user-interface elements on the student. Through testing, observation, and discussion the children shared their comments and suggestion for educational software. While data collection and statistical analysis is an efficient means of presenting results, this initial paper will focus on the qualitative analysis of CBE software in the areas of Language Arts and Mathematics
