  • Abstract
The charge drainage capability of tools was analyzed with functional methods. This was compared to their resistance to ground. Tools with long charge drainage times and high resistance present a hazard to ESD sensitive components. A proposed test in a draft IEC Technical Report is discussed, and potential solutions for non-compatible tools are shown.
