Abstract
This paper shows relative antenna clearance to discuss electrically occupied space of small antenna element by defining the input impedance variation in the presence of electrical disturbance near tested antennas. A half wavelength conducting wire is introduced as the disturbance. The distance from the tested antenna to the conducting wire is defined as the relative clearance and typical small antennas are discussed to minimize the clearance size.
