Abstract :
This paper presents a new robust automatic generation control (AGC) algorithm. Its main aim is to find a controller that can ensure good stability and dynamic performance even under changes in system parameters. This is carried out with no need to change, online, the controller structure. The basic idea is to find the location of the eigenvalues of the closed loop system that has minimum sensitivity to system parameter changes. The adopted algorithm for pole assignment is simple and effective. It does not contain a going back procedure, and may conveniently include closed loop eigenvalues as optimizing parameters. The simulation results have confirmed the algorithm´s advantages
