Abstract :
The accuracy of nonlinear parametric model estimates is examined for experimental situations which allow the application of a periodic excitation signal. The emphasis of the paper is on the influence of the excitation properties on the identification results, particularly when the parameter estimation is carried out using algorithms which do not require a special form of excitation
