Abstract :
Tourist hotels are the most important composing portion of Chinese tourism industry and its operating efficiency will impact the development of tourism industry. This paper analyses annual changing situation and regional difference in hotels´ operating efficiency and its effect factors with factor analysis, cluster analysis and regression analysis based on panel data by nineteen financial indexes such as ROE and ROA, et al. The result indicates the operation efficiency of tourist hotels in eastern coastal area excels that in mid-western area; the stimulating factors of hotels´ operation efficiency include the number of rooms, the average occupancy rate of guest rooms and integrative price of guest rooms, and its counteracting factors are the number of medium-priced rooms and residents´ consumption capability.
