  • Abstract
    A new electronic device, the ldquoNovatronrdquo, is presented. The Novatron is a nano-scale triode vacuum tube in which electrons are liberated from the cathode via photo-emission instead of thermo-emission. The new technology enables the production of very high frequency devices approaching terahertz frequencies and opens new venues for integration of electronic elements.
