Abstract :
This paper develops an approach for wind driven induction generators that allows the use of a converter sized for the rated real power. Variable speed operation is considered. A static capacitance value is selected, which along with a variable frequency pulse width modulated (PWM) rectifier maintains the self-excited induction generator´s (SEIG) excitation
