Abstract
Domain operators are a class of crisp set morphological operators defined with fuzzy index functions. With appropriate definition of the connection weights, uncertainty factors, a priori knowledge, and local features of the images can be incorporated into the morphological operations. The utility of domain operators is demonstrated in a nuclear segmentation system for cervical tissue image analysis
